A DAY AT THE HILLS GOLF COURSE, QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND
A great day in the last days of winter opened up to us as we head to Arrowtown. The Hills Golf Course is nestled in the Northern corner of the Wakatipu Basin. It is the crown jewel of golf courses in New Zealand holding the NZ Open yearly. A championship 18 hole golf with a day spa and gym facilities.
Today saw myself, JT and two clients head out to experience this great course. We drive through an unmarked electronic gate and a winding road takes us into the course and the beautiful clubhouse. The carts, clubs, drinks and players are ready to go.
Winter provides great conditions and often little to no wind. It is also a great window into what Spring and Summer golf is like. A sunny day provided warm temperatures of up to 16®c
Commencing the first hole was a distant memory as we made our way through the stunning course. Tee boxes rise from the tussock filled countryside. Great statues and sculptures compliment the perfectly manicured fairways and greens.
Refreshments are delivered to us throughout the day and any other particular orders we may have are promptly organised.
To finish up the day the clubhouse provides a great wine and beer list. Well deserved after a day on the course. The better halves enjoyed their time shopping in Arrowtown and a couple of hours at The Hills Spa. A great day for everyone.
